Hi! I’m Kyu

Welcome to Falling for Korea! This platform is my heartfelt creation for sharing information and insight about traveling to Korea through historical and cultural lenses.

A bit about me. I studied cultural informatics at the Academy of Korean Studies, where I earned my master’s degree and deepened my understanding of my homeland’s history and culture.

I then went on to do a Ph.D. program in Smart tourism at Kyunghee University, a leading institution for Hospitality and tourism studies.

With my academic journey in Korean culture and tourism, I sought practical experience. I led hiking tours on Achasan Mountain for six months through Airbnb Experience and enjoyed meeting and connecting with travelers around the world.

Currently, I work at a mobile tourist information center operated by the Seoul Tourism Association. Really enjoy meeting tourists and helping them with useful information.
